2025 Hoe & Hope Scholarship Recipients:  Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Alexandria (Allie) Morton is from Erie, Colorado, and is currently a Junior at the Colorado School of Mines majoring in environmental engineering. If the name sounds familiar, Allie was a recipient of one of our high school scholarships in 2022. She originally had an interest in agricultural sustainability, but realized her potential for making change in the ag field lies in the importance of water conservation via environmental engineering. She plans to become an agricultural water management consultant, ultimately enabling the spread of agricultural water conservation knowledge among farmers. She would like to combine natural solutions such as grazing with engineered solutions such as water treatment to optimize agricultural water conservation.

Brooklyn Lee is from Dolores, Colorado, and is currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in agricultural business at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. After graduation she plans to pursue a career in agriculture lending or policy working with farmers and ranchers. She is the seventh generation on the family’s farm. With the ag industry experiencing lots of challenges, such as being able to feed a growing population with fewer resources, she wants to do her part to ensure the future of ag is promising. In her letters of recommendation her deep passion for agriculture and being a dedicated and hard-working individual as well as a strong leader and problem solver was noted.
